Diddy’s Former Employee Sues Him

Published

Jones, a former employee of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging sexual assault, sexual harassment, and ‘grooming’. Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer and videographer for Combs, filed his civil complaint in a New York federal court. He claims to have worked for and traveled with Combs between 2022 and 2023, collaborating with Combs on his most recent album, ‘Love’.

Among other allegations, Jones has claimed that Combs refused to compensate him for his music-producing works, compelled him to procure and interact with sex workers, threatened him, and served alcoholic beverages laced with drugs to guests at parties in his homes. Combs’ chief of staff, Kristina Khorram; Universal Music Group’s CEO, Sir Lucian Grainge; former Motown’s CEO, Ethiopia Habtemariam; and Combs’ adult son, Justin, are also named as defendants.

Justin Combs, Comb’s adult son, is accused of getting prostitutes and underage girls to attend parties at his father’s homes. Khorram allegedly ordered prostitutes and illicit drugs for Combs and his guests. Also, according to the lawsuit, “Jones believed Khorram ‘aided and abetted’ Combs’ sexual assault. Grainge and Habtemariam sponsored and attended several listening parties for the ‘Love’ album at Combs’ Los Angeles home, and knew or should have known that Mr. Combs was drugging the attendees through laced bottles of DeLeon Tequila and Ciroc Vodka.” As sponsors of these events, the lawsuit states “Grainge and Habtemariam had a duty and obligation to ensure that sex workers and underaged girls were not present, and that Mr. Combs was not spiking the alcohol with date rape drugs.”

Jones is seeking $30 million.

Shawn Holley, Sean Combs’ attorney, denied the allegations in a statement, calling Jones ‘a liar’.

According to the statement, Holley said: “His uncautioned name-dropping about events that are absolute fiction and actually did not is occur is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take appropriate action against those who fabricated them.”

A representative for Justin Combs stated in a statement: “Justin Combs categorically denies these absurd allegations. They are all lies! This is a clear example of a desperate person taking desperate measures in hopes of a payday. There will be legal consequences for ALL defamatory statements made about the Combs family.”

Representatives for Khorram, Grainge and Habtemariam have also made reactions to the lawsuit.

Nollywood veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor, has disclosed and talked about how people tried to impose titles and name-tags on her at the beginning of her career and how she handled it.

The veteran actress said when she began her acting career, people tried to compare her with legendary actress, Liz Benson, by tagging her as ‘Liz Benson of Enugu’ but she rejected the tag because she believes they are both unique.

She disclosed that she also rejected suggestions to answer her husband’s first name as her surname and instead chose to bear his family name.
She actually disclosed this in an interview session via a media platform.

Her words: “I don’t know how it started, all I know was that when I started my acting career and people started recognizing this woman from Enugu.”

“So, there was a time I came to Lagos for a shoot and people started saying, ‘That’s her, this woman from Enugu.’ They said, “You’re the ‘Liz Benson of Enugu.”

“I said, ‘No, with all due respect, I don’t want to be like Liz Benson, I want to be myself. I am ‘Patience Ozokwor of Enugu’.”

“And some people came and said, ‘You don’t even need to answer Patience Ozokwor again. Answer your husband’s first name Edmund; Patience Edmund.’

“I said, ‘No, because in Igbo land, you’re not just married by one man, you’re married by a family. I don’t know about other tribes.”

“So, my husband’s people, their name is Ozokwor. When you mention Ozokwor in any part of this world, people who know the Ozokwors would say ‘I know where she comes from’,” she concluded.
