The atmosphere of celebration has been wholly activated – as what was once perceived to be an ‘April Fool’s Prank’ has actually turned out to be true, which had to do with Nigerian veteran comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, famously known as Ali Baba, and his wife, Mary Akpobome, who have welcome and dedicated their triplet-boys in church.

In the pictures and videos that have gone viral on social media – popular comedians including AY Makun, Seyi Law, and MC Lively, were seen in attendance at the joyful dedication ceremony of Ali Baba’s triplets, that are named Aaron, Andrew and Alexander.

The triplets’ mother, Mary, was seen dancing and singing praises at the event, as she was surrounded by Chigul, Bunmi Davis, Ajebo Comedian, and Adebola Williams.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, in the public domain, especially on the social media, it could be recalled that Ali Baba took to his Instagram page to disclose the arrival of his new children, triplets, who he said were born two months prior. He posted a picture showing three babies being carried, and three little pairs of blue sneakers beneath them

In the post, Ali Baba wrote: “Mary and I are happy and overjoyed to welcome our 3 sons (Aaron, Aalexander, and Aandrew) into the Akpobome family. It’s been 2 months since they arrived, and as the days go by, we thank God Almighty for these 3 beautiful blessings. We also want to thank our sisters, brothers, friends, uncles, and aunties for all the supports so far.”

On that day, April 1, 2024, Ali Baba’s post was perceived as an ‘April Fool’s Day Prank’ by many people, which led to some doubts about the news.

Actor Alexx Ekubo commented on the post, where he stated thus: “Or Better still, Ancestor, let’s call them April 1st, April One & the last one will be April Fools.” Another commenter stated: “This April Fool almost catch me sha.”

But now, in reality, the news has now been confirmed to be true as Ali Baba and his wife just recently dedicated the triplets in church. Congratulations to the Akpobome’s family.

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Hope Samuel, has called for a positive change in the approach of the movie industry to the essential issue of health care.

The actress said this in an interview session – as she emphasized the importance of inclining a high priority on self-care. She suggested organizing programmes to teach actors and movie-crew members how to look after themselves rather than putting their entire attention on their jobs only.

In her words: “We need change. If I were put in charge, l will organize seminars on how to take care of ourselves while we are still strong. A lot of us work, work and work without taking good care of ourselves and before long, we fall sick and begin to treat ourselves with our life’s savings, because of neglect over the years.”

“People are dying and falling sick because of total disregard for their well-being. This is not right”

Nollywood stars who have recently passed away due to health issues include John Okafor (also known as Mr. Ibu), whose leg was amputated due to blood clot issues; Jimi Solanke, who died while being transported to a hospital; Deji Aderemi, who fought an undisclosed illness; Amaechi Muonagor, who died battling kidney disease; and Sisi Quadri who died after a brief illness.

Hope Samuel is really passionate this, as she is seriously advocating for actors to give top priority to their health and general well-being.

She is a talented actor – and over the years, has produced movies, which include ‘Kiki’s Dilemma’, ‘Sweet Candy’, and ‘The Love I Found’.
